About CognitiSec
A Seoul practice built for holders who keep crypto offline and want calm, human review—not another screen.
Origin
CognitiSec began after several private clients in Gangnam asked for the same quiet favor: sit with them while they reconciled hardware wallet histories without logging into a portfolio site. What started as occasional desk-side help became a dedicated practice for activity logging and custody review.
How we work
Sessions are appointment-only. One reviewer, one client party, devices on the table. We write by hand and on a local printer you can watch. Files that must exist digitally for scheduling stay limited to contact details—not seed material, not balances.
People
Our reviewers come from operational risk and private-client support backgrounds in Seoul’s financial district. Credentials we claim are practical: years of guiding nervous first-time hardware wallet owners through firmware updates, passphrase decisions, and family handovers—not marketing slogans about innovation.
Values
- Presence over remote screens. If the wallet cannot be in the room, we wait.
- Paper you keep. Your custody notes leave with you; we do not archive balances.
- Plain language. Device names, dates, and gaps—no jargon for its own sake.
- Korea-rooted service. Meetings center on Seoul; travel within KR is discussed case by case.
Community stance
We speak with local counsel and notaries when clients need inheritance paperwork, but CognitiSec itself is not a law firm or custodian bank. We are the people who help you see what your offline wallets have actually done.
